Veterans With mTBI Are More Likely To Develop PTSD & Longer-Term Symptoms
Veterans who sustained a mild traumatic brain injury (mTBI) in a traumatic context were more likely to develop PTSD, a higher prevalence of long-term disability, and post-concussion symptoms, a study has found. Based on the findings, the researchers postulated that mTBIs sustained in traumatic contexts may create conditions that may cause PTSD symptom formation that may result in significantly worse long-term outcomes.
