CMS To Launch Health Homes For Children With Medically Complex Conditions
The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) is planning to launch Medicaid health homes to provide care coordination for children with medically complex or chronic conditions. These health homes are a provision of the Medicaid Services Investment and Accountability Act of 2019 (MSIA), which became law on April 18, 2019. Under the approximate timeline in the MSIA, by October 1, 2020, CMS will issue guidance on implementing this option.
