Virtual Behavioral Health Support For Children & Families Reduces Caregiver Strain, Improves Parent Workplace Productivity
Virtual family-oriented behavioral health care can improve children’s mental health and reduce caregiver strain caused by disrupted family relationships and time interruption, missed work, worry about the child’s future or feeling tired and sad, or financial stress. Among nearly 1,650 commercially insured children and caregiver pairs who received virtual, family-oriented behavioral health treatment from Brightline, a web-based platform for children and their families, more than two-thirds of caregivers with high strain due to the child’s symptom severity experienced long-term reduction in their objective and subjective strain.
