Walmart & CareSource Enter Agreement To Address Health Disparities, Introduce Pilot Programs In Ohio & Georgia

On February 28, 2023, Walmart and managed care organization (MCO) CareSource announced a three-year partnership to address health disparities within selected CareSource service areas. They are piloting the first projects in Ohio and Georgia. The goal is to cultivate solutions to improve health outcomes in under-resourced and underserved communities with widespread racial health inequities. The projects leverage Walmart’s position as a retailer and health and wellness provider organization and CareSource’s role in the administration and delivery of Medicaid, Medicare and other health plan benefits and services.
