Walmart Opens Primary Care Clinics In South Carolina & Texas
On August 14, 2014, Walmart announced it had opened four in-store “Walmart Care Clinics” that provide primary care health services as part of a new test concept. The clinics are located at Walmart stores in South Carolina and Texas. Available services for patients age two and up are more comprehensive than those provided under the “retail clinic” model, and include diagnosis and treatment of chronic and acute illnesses, as well as preventative services.
