Washington State Purchasers Align To Support State’s Participation In CMS Making Care Primary Model
On October 2, 2023, a group of health care purchasers in Washington State, including the Washington Health Care Authority (HCA) issued a statement of support for developing a multi-payer collaborative to reform primary care away from fee-for-service (FFS). The group represents more than 700,000 commercially insured lives. This statement of support furthers the state’s efforts to participate in the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) Making Care Primary (MCP) model.
