Wearable Behavioral Intervention Improves Social Behavior In Children With Autism
Children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and receiving applied behavior analysis (ABA) who were also treated at home with a wearable behavioral intervention technology called Superpower Glass (used in the Google Glass device) showed improved social behavior. Measured using the Vineland Adaptive Behaviors Scale, a socialization subscale that measures communication, daily living, socialization, motor function, and adaptive behavior skills, the children who used the SG technology showed a 4.58-point average gain comparable to gains observed among a comparison group of children with ASD who received only applied behavior analysis (ABA)
