Wellpath Awarded $4.2 Million Contract To Expand Mental Health Care At Buncombe County Detention Facility

The Buncombe County Detention Facility in North Carolina has awarded Wellpath a $4.2 million contract to provide correctional health care services. The contract began July 1, 2026, and runs through June 30, 2028. It calls for expanded mental health services, additional on-site nursing staff, and enhanced safety within the facility. The contract was previously held by MEDIKO, Inc.
