Wisconsin Governor Signs HOPE Bills To Combat Opioid Abuse & Addiction

On July 17, 2017, Wisconsin's Governor Scott Walker signed 11 bills into law related to the state's Heroin, Opiate, Prevention, and Education (HOPE) agenda. The bills were signed during a special legislative session. The 11 bills cover everything from education to treatment and enforcement programs, and are intended to improve access to treatment, and to improve law enforcement response to addiction disorder.
