Wisconsin Medicaid Withdraws From Dual Eligible Demonstration & Its All-Age PACE Program

On December 19, 2013, the Wisconsin Department of Health Services (DHS) announced its withdrawal from the federal Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services’ (CMS’) Demonstration to Integrate Care for Dual Eligible Individuals because the state was unable to agree with CMS on the terms. DHS had been developing a project called Virtual Program of All-inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE).
