Wisconsin To Launch Pilot Program For Independent Living Support

The Wisconsin Department of Health Services (DHS) is using American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funding to create a new pilot program to provide short-term, flexible, and limited services and supports for adults aged 18 and older at risk of entering Medicaid long-term care. The Independent Living Support Pilot (ILSP) program is slated to run through March 31, 2025. Up to 5,000 participants in selected areas of the state will be able to apply for the pilot starting July 10, 2023 through March 31, 2024. Program operations for enrolled participants will run through March 31, 2025.
