Women Discharged From Psychiatric Hospitalization At Higher Risk Of Self-Harm Post-Discharge

Women discharged from a psychiatric hospitalization are at 28% higher risk of self-harm during the first 90-days post-discharge than men. Women had a 17% higher risk of self-harm during the first 30 days post-discharge. Despite the higher risk of self-harm, women were at lower risk of death during the 90 days post-discharge.
