Feds Advise Education App Developers To Focus On 10 Core Areas

On April 7, 2015, the federal Department of Education advised education application developers to focus on solutions for 10 core areas of high interest to educators. In its guidance report, “The Ed Tech Developer’s Guide: A Primer for Developers, Startups and Entrepreneurs,” the Department of Education noted that many existing solutions do not address what education professionals believe are the most urgent needs in education. The goal is to guide developers of applications for learning and digital tools that solve teacher-identified persistent problems in education.
