Violent crime arrests involving youth have declined 56% from approximately 72,890 arrests in 2010 to about 32,070 in 2020. The 2020 arrest figure is a full 78% below the 1994 peak of about 145,775 arrests. In comparison, violent crime arrests involving adults during the same period declined just 6%, from about 456,880 in 2010 to about 429,470 in 2020.
