Transformation Showcase: Making Mergers Work

This presentation took place at The 2023;OPEN MINDS;Executive Leadership Retreat. Karen Carloni, LCPC, CRC, Executive Director, The Southern Maryland Community Network, and Cari A. Guthrie, LCSW-C, President and Chief Executive Officer at Cornerstone Montgomery, discussed how to ensure transparent communication and alignment of values in the merger and post-merger integration phases, including assessing the culture of both organizations before and after the merger, having a clear merger communications plan in place both internally and externally, and learning from past merger successes and failures in the field.
