Nebrasks's bill 949 that was introduced on January 11, 2012 relates to agency budgeting. It would require the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services, Division of Children and Family Services to submit quarterly reports to the Legislature detailing expenditures for the quarter. For the next two fiscal years, the division would need to include a strategic plan as part of its budget request. The plan would include the main purposes of each program, goals that can be audited and verified and benchmarks for improving performance on the main goals.
