On March 24, 2020, the Florida Department of Children and Families (DCF) sued the Florida Coalition Against Domestic Violence, Inc. (FCADV) for overpaying its former chief executive officer (CEO). On February 28, 2020, the state terminated its contract with FCADV after legislation was signed permitting DCF to administer all FCADV programs related to domestic violence services. DCF intends to stabilize the provider network, assume operational and financial control, and competitively rebid for services in the next 12 to 18 months . . .
