On June 29, 2021, the Supreme Court of the United States issued an emergency ruling to permit a national moratorium on evictions to remain in place until the scheduled expiration date of July 31, 2021. The national moratorium was issued by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) on September 4, 2020. The case is Alabama Association Of Realtors, et al., v.
