Researchers with the Centers for Disease Control and PreventionÂ’s National Center for Health Statistics analyzed 3,180 responses to the 2011 National Ambulatory Medical Care Survey (NAMCS) Physician Workflow mail survey. The survey found that in 2011 about 55% of office-based physicians treating ambulatory patients had adopted an electronic health records (EHRs), and that 77% of those with an EHRs reported that their system meets federal Meaningful Use criteria.
