September 1, 2013
In September 2013, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) released its draft strategic plan for public and congressional consultation. The plan is released every four years. HHS updates its strategic plan, which describes its work to address complex, multifaceted, and ever-evolving health and human service issues. Under the Government Performance and Results Modernization Act, Federal agencies are required to consult with the Congress and to solicit and consider the views of external parties. Input on the draft HHS Strategic Plan for FY 2014-2018 was accepted until October 15, 2013.
