On September 29, 2020, the District of Columbia (DC) Department of Health published this report describing the 2020 health needs assessment for DC. The analysis was conducted by the GW Institute for Brain Health and Dementia. The report estimates the prevalence of dementia in DC, the prevalence of modifiable risk factors for cognitive decline and dementia in DC, and challenges and unmet needs of caregivers of people with dementia.
