On October 14, 2020, Arizona’s child welfare agency agreed to increase behavioral and health services for children in foster care, and limit use of group homes for those children. The state Department of Child Services also will be required to monitor and limit workloads for front-line workers to ensure they can meet the needs of the more than 14,000 children in the state’s care.
