Data Segmentation for Privacy: Netsmart ONC Pilot Proposal

On December 20, 2012, health information technology company Netsmart announced that it will conduct a pilot project in conjunction with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services’ Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology (ONC) to create a methodology for health information exchanges (HIE) enabling behavioral health and physical health provider organizations to share patient data.
