USDA Final Rule: Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program: Requirements For Able-Bodied Adults Without Dependents

On December 5, 2019, the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Food and Nutrition Service, finalized its rulemaking in regard to Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program: Requirements for Able-Bodied Adults Without Dependents (ABAWD). The rule revises the conditions under which the USDA would waive, when requested by states, ABAWDs time limit in areas that have an unemployment rate of over 10% or a lack of sufficient jobs.
