Mountainview Medical Center v. NextGen Healthcare Information Systems
On December 18, 2013, Mountainview Medical Center in White Sulphur Springs, Montana sued NextGen Healthcare Information Systems because NextGen failed to install a certified electronic health record (EHR) system on time, and because the system ultimately installed did not comply with federal Meaningful Use standards for 2014, which went into effect on October 1, 2013. The hospital filed its lawsuit in federal district court in Montana; a pre-trial conference is scheduled for March 17, 2014.
