On January 23, 2012, the Illinois Healthcare and Family Services (HFS) released a request for proposals (RFP) for its “Care Coordination Innovations Project,” under which Illinois will begin a shift toward moving at least half of its Medicaid population into coordinated care programs by 2015. A mandatory letter of intent was due by February 29, and final proposals are due May 25, 2012; there is no predetermined number of awardees. This document summarizes the 75 letters of intent HFS received.
