On January 3, 2022, Milton Adult Day Services in South Bend, Indiana opened an adult day center modeled on the Dutch “Dementia Village” concept. The Care Connections Center at Milton Village is intended to be first socially inclusive, dementia-focused adult day center. The center is designed to resemble a small Indiana town. It has its own town square, movie theatre, Irish pub, and other community features to facilitate immersive programming. The staff will help the attendees participate in a variety of activities of their choosing. Caregivers can participate in the same activities.
