GETTYSBURG, Pa. (April 25, 2021) — OPEN MINDS has announced that The OPEN MINDS Integration Summit: A Tale Of Two Years: New Models For Integrated Care In Today’s Post-Pandemic World will be held virtually on June 14, 2021, from 11:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. ET. Drivers of integration in today’s post-pandemic world, challenges organizations face, and opportunities that have surfaced over the years, are the primary focal points of this event.
The OPEN MINDS Integration Summit is designed to help organizations across the country identify the new drivers to deliver integration, and ensure their teams are prepared for successful implementation in the “next normal.”
“Evolving consumer and payer expectations, and new competitive forces, have renewed the urgency for integration of physical and behavioral health care,” said Meena Dayak, executive vice president at OPEN MINDS. “And technology has opened up new possibilities for how integrated care can be delivered where it is most convenient to the consumer. But barriers remain in terms of funding, regulation, and infrastructure. We look forward to discussing the solutions and the future of integrated care at the Integration Summit.”
Throughout the day, attendees will hear case study presentations led by executives who will discuss their integration efforts; review the key competencies organizations will need for integration models coming out of the pandemic; and discuss how to assess whether developing integrated programming should be part of an organization’s strategy. The day will end with a town hall discussion, where attendees will have a chance to talk with presenters, ask questions about their models’ challenges and opportunities, and discuss their perspective on the future of integrated care.
Case studies will be presented by:
- Allen Brown, chief executive officer and Dan Arens, chief operating officer from Adult & Child Health
- Rob Ryan, Ph.D., Ed.S., senior vice president of operations and Shannon Hannon, MBA, CMPE, vice president of healthcare integration from Otis R Bowen Center for Human Services, Inc.
- Patrick Maynard, PhD, president and chief executive officer from I Am Boundless
- Lisa Kay, clinical program manager from Cigna Medical Group
