Alera Health Successfully Completes Third Consecutive SOC 2 Type II Audit, Reinforcing Commitment To Data Security & Compliance Excellence
WILMINGTON, N.C. – (October 19, 2025) — Alera Health is proud to announce the successful completion of its third consecutive System and Organization Controls (SOC) 2 Type II audit, performed by Sensiba LLP (Sensiba). The examination reaffirms Alera Health’s ongoing dedication to maintaining the highest standards of data security, confidentiality, and integrity across its Clinical Intelligence Engine™ and ONEinsight™ Platform.
Developed by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the SOC 2 Type II audit evaluates an organization’s internal controls over security, availability, processing integrity, confidentiality, and privacy. Alera’s report — covering the period from August 1, 2024, through July 31, 2025 — was issued with no exceptions, resulting in a “clean” audit opinion from Sensiba.
“Achieving our third consecutive SOC 2 Type II certification is a direct reflection of Alera Health’s culture of accountability, integrity, and innovation,” said Drew Shuping, Senior Vice President of Security and Data Analytics at Alera Health. “As we continue to expand our technology and analytics capabilities, this certification reinforces the trust our partners place in us to securely manage sensitive health information across every ONEcare Network we support.”
Alera’s SOC 2 Type II report examined the design and operational effectiveness of controls within its Clinical Intelligence Engine™ and ONEinsight™ Platform — key components that power Alera’s population health management and integrated care operations. These systems enable real-time data integration, analytics, and coordination among healthcare providers, ensuring that patient information remains protected while supporting outcomes-driven decision-making.
This year’s clean audit result demonstrates Alera Health’s ongoing compliance maturity, supported by a proactive risk management approach, continuous control monitoring via Drata, and industry-leading partnerships with Sensiba.
“Our success in this year’s audit underscores how deeply embedded security and compliance are in Alera’s DNA,” Shuping added. “As our data environments evolve and our networks grow, we’re continuously strengthening our infrastructure to ensure that every innovation we deploy is built on a foundation of privacy, reliability, and trust.”
