Assisted Living Executives Share How To Improve Resident Satisfaction & Outcomes By Integrating Pharmacy Services — Free Webinar By Genoa Healthcare & OPEN MINDS

GETTYSBURG, Pa. (September 19, 2021) — On September 29, 2021 at 1:00 pm EDT, OPEN MINDS will host a webinar, Improving Resident Satisfaction & Outcomes By Integrating Pharmacy Services In Home Care, Group Home, & Assisted Living Settings, available free of charge courtesy of Genoa Healthcare. This event will feature three assisted living executives sharing how they are improving the value proposition of their residential services by integrating pharmacy support services.

More and more consumer services are being delivered in residential, group home, and assisted living community settings, as consumers shy away from acute care and skilled nursing facilities – a trend that is likely to last post-pandemic. How do management teams ensure the quality of services keeps resident satisfaction scores high, while ensuring financial stability? In this session, learn how three assisted living executives from Majestic Residences, SYNERGY HomeCare, and Community Living of Rhode Island are improving the value proposition of their residential services by integrating pharmacy support services.

Join Anthony Zerilli, Franchise Operations Manager, Majestic Residences; Vicki Powell, Director of Business Development, SYNERGY HomeCare; and Kelly Anne Deshaies, RN BSN, Director of Nursing, Community Living of Rhode Island on September 29th at 1:00pm ET to hear how their organizations have been leveraging integrated pharmacy support services during the COVID-19 pandemic to support resident satisfaction. Stacey Bane, PharmD, Vice President Of Business Development, Assisted Living at Genoa Healthcare will also share challenges organizations are facing in the industry today and why resident satisfaction is important to your organization. During this session, panelists will cover how their communities leverage integrated pharmacy services to:

  • Navigate census and staffing issues amid the pandemic
  • Ease staff burden and improve workflow efficiencies
  • Drive higher resident and family member satisfaction

Anthony began his career as a young man caring for his grandparents with his family in Michigan in the early 1990s. Once the Zerilli family relocated to Arizona in 1995, he was a founding member of Red Mountain Assisted Living. Anthony has cared for hundreds, if not thousands, of Arizona seniors. Currently, Red Mountain has grown to four 10 bed assisted living homes in Arizona that are still owned and operated by the Zerilli family. Anthony has been a board member held various offices with many health care associations, including a founding member of the AALHA (Arizona Assisted Living Homes Association) and board member and treasurer of Health Service Professionals.

Vicki holds a CPA license in Ohio and she has a minor in Gerontology. She worked for Ernst and Young after graduating college and many of her audit clients were nursing homes. Vicki’s father was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s Disease in 2012 and she left her career to be his caregiver. Her father eventually required 24-hour homecare and was later placed into a memory care community. Vicki volunteered in his memory unit and later became the Sales Director for the assisted living and memory care where he resided. After he passed away in 2020, she joined Synergy HomeCare, Columbus as Director of Business Development.

Kelly Anne Deshaies, BSN, RN is the Director of Nursing for Community Living of Rhode Island in East Greenwich, RI. Kelly Anne has worked at Community Living of Rhode Island since 2014. She graduated from Rhode Island College with a Bachelors of Nursing Science in 2004.

Moderating this event will be Stacey Bane, PharmD, Vice President Of Business Development, Assisted Living at Genoa Healthcare. She joined Genoa Healthcare in 2010 as a pharmacist and site manager in Evansville, Indiana, where she experienced firsthand how pharmacy can help drive medication adherence and improve healthcare outcomes. In 2018, she became a site development director for Genoa, the role she currently holds. Stacey graduated from Purdue University with a PharmD in 2005. She is an Adjunct Faculty Member at the University of Southern Indiana, teaching graduate-level nurse practitioners psychopharmacology at the College of Nursing and Health Science. She serves as a consulting pharmacist for the University of Southern Indiana on several grant projects. Stacey also works as a Purdue University affiliate facility member.
