Executives From Blue Cross Blue Shield & Magellan Lead The Program For The 2018 OPEN MINDS Performance Management Institute

GETTYSBURG, Pa. (August 23, 2017) — Misty Tu, the Medical Director of Psychiatry and Behavioral Health at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Minnesota, and Gus Giraldo, the President of Commercial Markets at Magellan Healthcare, headlined the ‘first-look’ 2018 OPEN MINDS Performance Management Institute program released today by OPEN MINDS.

The executive-focused event will return to The Sheraton Sand Key Resort in Clearwater, Florida on February 15-16, 2018 for an expanded program focusing on performance measurement and management in the areas of the health and human services field that serve consumers with complex needs.

“More and more of health care reimbursement to provider organizations is moving toward some type of value-based reimbursement. While there is still some uncertainty at the federal level when it comes to health care policy, I think we can be confident that value-based reimbursement, in some form, is going to continue to play a large role in the health care system,” said OPEN MINDS Executive Vice President Sarah C. Threnhauser. “The OPEN MINDS Performance Management Institute focuses on the new challenges that value-based reimbursement presents for the provider community, and gives executives a chance to hear from health plans and provider organizations who have successfully executed performance-based contracts and are working together to build product partnerships based on value. That focus is what drove registrations to sell-out so quickly last year, and why we are expecting another sold-out event this year.”

Tu and Giraldo headline an early program that showcases payer and provider partnerships that are leading the way in the new era of value-based care. Additional speakers, sessions, and events will be announced in the coming weeks.

Individual and group registration for The 2018 OPEN MINDS Performance Management Institute is now available. We recommend registering early, as seating is limited and registrations are expected to sell out by the end of the year.
