Developing A Successful EHR Implementation Team – New Coffee Break Case Study From OPEN MINDS Senior Associate, Alsten Tauro

GETTYSBURG, Pa. (November 27, 2017) –  OPEN MINDS announced a new coffee break case study program, “Developing A Successful EHR Implementation Team,” featuring Senior Associate, Alsten Tauro. This free webinar will take place as part of OPEN MINDS Management Monday series on Monday, December 18, at 1:00 pm EST.

“In this free webinar, we’ll address the dilemma many organizations in the behavioral health field face all too often: ill-managed, project implementation teams,” said OPEN MINDS Senior Associate, Alsten Tauro. “Unsuccessful implementation teams drive up costs, frustrate staff, and burden organizations nationwide. It’s an unnecessary problem that nobody is talking about.”

Mr. Tauro’s program will highlight the OPEN MINDS model of creating a core implementation team, comprised of four specialized functions, to assure the greatest strategic impact to the organization: project sponsor, project manager, performance team, and guidance committee. In addition, Mr. Tauro will share his experience working with two organizations who sought such guidance during times of employee transitions but were facing many roadblocks in the deliverance of projects from their operations teams.

Mr. Tauro brings more than 10 years of leadership and management experience in information technology (IT) and services to the OPEN MINDS team. Prior to joining OPEN MINDS, Mr. Tauro was the Director of Information Technology for the Corporate Headquarters of Sigma Nu Fraternity, Inc., where he established and implemented technology initiatives to meet Sigma Nu Fraternity’s growing IT needs―inventory, annual budget, disaster recovery plan, documentation, and operating policies. He has a demonstrated expertise in IT operations and process re-engineering, strategic IT planning and road-mapping, networking and telecommunications, web administration and programming, and project management.

Management Monday Coffee Break Case Studies are part of a webinar series that feature OPEN MINDS’ consultants, subject matter experts, and advisory board members who demonstrate first-hand how they have tackled some of today’s most difficult management and market challenges. These brief, 20-30 minute webinars take place every other Monday at 1:00 pm EST throughout 2017 and feature various clinical and business case-studies across the health and human service industry.
