(May 16, 2021) – OPEN MINDS’ executive seminar, How To Optimize Technology: An OPEN MINDS Seminar On Getting The Most Value From Your Technology Investments, will take place in person on Monday, August 23, 2021, at The 2021 OPEN MINDS Management Best Practices Institute. The seminar will focus on how to evaluate new technologies for your organization and how to engage staff in a best practice technology evaluation process. OPEN MINDS’ Senior Associate, Joseph P. Naughton-Travers, EdM, will present this seminar from 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. PT.
Mr. Naughton-Travers will address the question, “How will executives evaluate new technologies for their organizations?” As technology becomes increasingly essential and the range of available technologies and tech-enabled functionality is rapidly growing, organizations are spending more on tech investments. Unfortunately, tech investments often fall short of meeting expectations. However, with proper planning and staff engagement, organizations can position themselves to optimize the value of their tech investments.
During this seminar, Mr. Naughton-Travers will make sure your organization is on the path to maximizing your tech investment. He will help your organization determine anticipated financial and non-financial return-on-investments for the selected technology, how to move beyond pilot to full implementation, and how to ensure implementation success.
“Provider organizations in today’s market are using all sorts of technology – consumer-focused tools, major software systems such as EHR’s, GL, and HRIS, business intelligence, tele-health, etc.,” said Mr. Naughton-Travers. “The challenge is often deciding which technologies to use, what staff are needed to make it successful, and how to rapidly implement the technology.”
Mr. Naughton-Travers has more than 30 years of experience in the health and human service field. For the past decade, over half his consulting practice has focused on aiding organizations in technology selection and implementation, including all aspects of strategic technology planning, functional specifications development, request for proposal development, vendor selection, and contracting.
