Gulf Coast Center Expands Behavioral Health Access With AI-Powered Intake Model

Webinar To Explore 16-Week Implementation, Workforce Impact & Expansion Beyond Clinic Walls

SAN FRANCISCO, CA. (October 3, 2026) – As behavioral health organizations face continued pressure to expand access while managing workforce capacity and increasing demand, provider organizations are looking for new ways to make the entry point to care more efficient – without adding administrative burden to already stretched clinical teams.

Gulf Coast Center (GCC), a Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic serving more than 13,000 people each year, is putting that strategy into practice. The organization introduced Psyrin’s Mira AI at the front of its open access process to gather information before a consumer sees a clinician.

Sixteen weeks after implementation, 82% of GCC’s intakes are now running through Mira AI, evaluation times are one-third shorter, and clinicians have gained back 221 hours per month for care.

On October 6 at 1:00 p.m. ET, Gulf Coast Center CEO Felicia Jeffery, LPC, and Psyrin CEO Edwin Wong, PhD, will share the implementation journey during a live webinar examining how the organization moved from initial deployment to adoption – and what other behavioral health organizations can learn from the process.

The conversation will go beyond the technology itself to examine the operational realities of implementation, including where the 16-week deployment nearly stalled, how GCC addressed concerns among clinical and front office staff, and the guardrails put in place to support responsible adoption.

The results matter, but so does how you get there. In 16 weeks, we had to work through workflow changes, staff concerns, clinical safeguards and adoption, not just install a piece of technology. That process is what allowed us to reach the level of utilization we have today and gave us the confidence to embed frontier AI while continuing to prioritize our care,” said Felicia Jeffery, LPC, Gulf Coast Center CEO.

The webinar will also explore what comes next. Gulf Coast Center is now extending the same digital front door beyond its clinic walls, using the technology with partners to help people access information and connect with services from more places in the community.

For behavioral health executives evaluating AI and other emerging technologies, GCC’s experience offers a real-world look at a growing strategic question for the field: How can organizations use technology to expand access while protecting clinical quality, strengthening workforce capacity, and effectively managing organizational change?

Participants will hear about GCC’s 16-week deployment timeline; the clinical, operational, and compliance considerations that shaped implementation; the impact on intake and evaluation workflows; and the organization’s strategy for extending access into the broader community.

Registration is now open. All registrants will receive access to the webinar recording and deployment playbook following the event.
