Last Chance To Register: The 2025 OPEN MINDS Service Excellence Institute Returns To California This August To Tackle Health Care’s Most Pressing Clinical & Operational Challenges
GETTYSBURG, PA. (Augst 3, 2025)—The 2025 OPEN MINDS Service Excellence Institute returns to California for a three-day conference with a bold agenda: to help health care organizations decipher current regulatory expectations as they face sharp funding challenges from the recent approval of the One Big Beautiful Bill, not to mention increased scrutiny by the Department of Justice, which has launched investigations against several health care entities about Medicare billing practices. According to the U.S. Department of Justice, the National Health Care Fraud Takedown resulted in criminal charges this year against 324 defendants, including doctors, nurses, pharmacists, and other licensed medical professionals, in connection with $14.6 billion in alleged fraud related to durable medical equipment, telemedicine, genetic testing, prescription opioids, and other services.
More than 400 industry decision-makers, clinicians, and innovators will be in attendance at the institute this year, including some of the nation’s most respected health care executives. Among the highly anticipated panels is the institute’s opening keynote on Wednesday, August 13th at 8:30 am PT, “The Future Of Value-Based Contracting In Autism & I/DD Services”, a deep dive into the evolution of value-based care for individuals with autism and intellectual/developmental disabilities (I/DD), which will feature Yagnesh Vadgama, BCBA, President, HAI-CA and VP Clinical Care Services Autism at Magellan Health; Neil Hattangadi, M.D., Co-Founder & Chief Executive Officer at Cortica Care; and Matt Holder, M.D., MBA, Chief Executive Officer at Lee Specialty Clinic. This session will examine how value-based contracting enhances coordination, customizes care, and creates cost-efficient models that prioritize quality over quantity for the autism and I/DD populations.
“Attending the Institute this August isn’t just a networking opportunity—it’s a strategic imperative. In an era of profound industry disruption, leaders must harness cutting-edge insights, proven frameworks, and peer-driven best practices to navigate complex policy shifts and protect their organization’s integrity,” said Monica Oss, Chief Executive Officer at OPEN MINDS. “While change is constant, one truth endures: those who remain agile, forge strong partnerships, and embrace value-based care won’t just survive—they’ll thrive.”
