“Success With Integration” Announced As Pre-Institute Seminar For The 2015 OPEN MINDS California Management Best Practices Institute
The seminar will focus on integration strategies for behavioral health provider organizations
GETTYSBURG, Pa. (July 19, 2015) — OPEN MINDS announced its pre-institute seminar for The 2015 OPEN MINDS California Management Best Practices Institute – “Succeeding In A World Of Integrated Care: Options For Behavioral Health Provider Organizations.” The seminar will be led by OPEN MINDS Senior Associate George Braunstein.
The pre-institute seminar is a half-day, intensive workshop that will cover both recent developments and management best practices in medical/behavioral integrated care and in participation in medical homes, health homes, and other coordinated care management initiatives.
Within the health services landscape, integration has become a key concept and driver of both service delivery and management of consumer care. The challenge for the behavioral health service provider organization is where they fit in this new landscape and developing strategies for short- and long-term success. This session is designed to assist leaders of provider organizations in developing strategies and tactics necessary for success in this changing environment. The intensive seminar will:
- Discuss the underlying drivers for the changing framework of service delivery and care coordination
- Identify models of integrated care coordination and integrated service delivery
- Review the emerging management best practices for integrated care
- Examine the process of developing new service lines in response to the changing market
- Explore the emerging use of technology in integrated models and the implications for service delivery
- Discuss strategies for collaboration using integrated care coordination models – ACOs, medical homes, health homes, and readmission prevention programs
The seminar will be lead by George Braunstein, who has more than 35 years of experience leading both private and public sector health and human services organizations – in both institutional and ambulatory settings. Mr. Braunstein’s areas of expertise include strategic planning and organizational development, clinical process performance management and performance improvement, and integrated care system design, development, and management.
“Changes in financing, pay-for-performance, and technology are creating consumers and payers interested in integrated care models,” said Monica E. Oss, the chief executive officer of OPEN MINDS. “These new models are a tremendous benefit for consumers and a tremendous opportunity for professionals. This workshop will provide attendees with the tools needed to excel with these new market models.”
The institute will be held in San Diego, California on August 26-27, 2015, with the pre-institute seminar taking place on August 25, 2015. The 2015 OPEN MINDS California Management Best Practices Institute will focus on helping executives navigate the emerging financing and service delivery models shaping the California market for organizations serving consumers with complex needs.
