November 4 Circle Elite Executive Roundtable Focuses On Future Of Long-Term Care & Alternative Models Of Practice

GETTYSBURG, Pa. (October 17, 2021) – On November 4 at 1:00 pm ET, OPEN MINDS will host the Circle Elite Roundtable, Future Of Long-Term Care – Alternative Models Of Practice. This roundtable will look at emerging alternative service models and opportunities in the changing long-term care market landscape.

This Circle Elite Executive Roundtable will be led by OPEN MINDS Senior Associate Sarah Elliott. She has in-depth expertise in gerontology, long-term and transitional care, and marketing and referral development. Prior to joining OPEN MINDS, she served as the Director of Transitions of Care for Vivage Senior Living where she facilitated the implementation of care coordination and transitions of care strategies with over 30 nursing facilities.

The roundtable will provide Circle Elite members with an overview of new long-term care models such as the Green House Homes, Kallimos, and Graduated Hope Communities. She will also discuss how to develop and sustain these new models of care. Roundtable participants will also have the opportunity to discuss their current and future plans for long-term services and supports with Ms. Elliott.

“As of June 2021, 83% of nursing homes and 74% of assisted living communities reported fewer new residents seeking long-term care,” said OPEN MINDS Chief Executive Officer Monica E. Oss. “It is no surprise that if given the option, individuals would rather be at home than in a facility. With advancements in technology and treatment models, the need for traditional long-term care facilities is dwindling. Long-term care facilities needs to adapt and implement these new strategies and technologies in order to stay competitive moving forward.”
