(December 12, 2021) – On Tuesday, June 14, 2022 from 1:00 p.m. – 4:30 p.m. CT, OPEN MINDS will host a brand new executive seminar, “How To Optimize Technology: An OPEN MINDS Seminar On Getting The Most Value From Your Technology Investments.” This timely event will provide executives with the tools to evaluate their internal technology strategy for investment that will lead their organizations to sustainability in the “next normal.” Leading the half day program will be OPEN MINDS Senior Associate, and former CEO of Care Management Technologies, Carol Clayton, Ph.D.
“With the already large investment in health care technologies reaching new heights, there is a dizzying amount of marketing reaching executives every day, often with bold promises and claims of product effectiveness that influence investment decision-making and create confusion in the strategic planning process,” said Dr. Clayton. “This seminar is offered to assist attendees with effective decisionmaking methods to support advancement in technology infrastructure while assuring decisionmaking processes that are thoughtful and will result in the best value for advancing the overall agency strategic direction.
As technology becomes increasingly essential and the range of available technologies and tech-enabled functionality is rapidly growing, organizations are spending more on tech investments. Unfortunately, tech investments often fall short of meeting expectations. However, with proper planning and staff engagement, organizations can position themselves to optimize the value of their tech investments.
In this seminar, Dr. Clayton will discuss what needs can be addressed to ensure your organization is on the path to maximizing your tech investment, including:
- How to evaluate new technologies for your organization
- Engaging staff in a best practice technology evaluation process
- Determining anticipated financial and non-financial return-on-investments for the selected technology
- Go or No-Go: Moving beyond pilot to full implementation
- Ensuring implementation success
