OPEN MINDS Announces 2026 Executive Leadership Retreat, To Be Held In Gettysburg, Pennsylvania In September
Gettysburg, PA. (April 18, 2026)—OPEN MINDS announced the dates and location for the 2026 OPEN MINDS Executive Leadership Retreat: September 29–October 1, 2026, at The Hotel Gettysburg in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania.
This year’s theme, Lead From The Inside Out: Revitalize Your Mindset As A Modern Leader, is based on the recognition that today’s leadership challenges are as much about execution as they are about strategy. Aligning teams, making hard decisions, and sustaining organizational momentum all start with how a leader thinks, prioritizes, and executes, which all can directly affect performance across the organization. This year’s retreat is designed to help executives take a step back, focus on their personal brand, and strengthen their leadership approach so that they can better address external pressures such as workforce challenges, payer relationships, and organizational focus.
The 2026 OPEN MINDS Executive Leadership Retreat is designed to provide a different format from traditional executive conferences, offering time for reflection, peer dialogue, and focused leadership development. Set in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, this three-day event brings together more than 300 executives from provider organizations and health plans. Attendees can expect to participate in a variety of case studies led by national experts, unique historical experiences and networking events.
The Retreat will kick off with two in-depth executive seminars:
Strategic Planning For Times Of Uncertainty: Nimble Data-Driven Planning, led by Kimberly Bond, MS, LMFT, former Executive Vice President of Center Point, Inc., will focus on a three-phase approach to strategy development, including plan development, implementation, and execution. This comprehensive review will provide a “how-to” guide for managing a successful strategic plan and implementation process from beginning to end.
Clinical Excellence Best Practices: Engaging & Retaining Your Clinical Talent, led by Stuart Buttlaire, Ph.D., MBA, former Regional Director of Behavioral Health and Addiction Medicine for Kaiser Permanente, will examine strategies for attracting, retaining, and measuring clinical talent, including compensation models and recruitment approaches. Attendees will receive a playbook of strategies to develop performance-driven models that elevate output and the metrics to streamline clinical performance.
The Wednesday morning keynote, The Future Of Long-Term Services & Supports (LTSS): A Payer’s Vision For Innovation, Access & Value, will feature Anna Keith, Vice President of LTSS Product & Strategy at Centene, who will discuss how Medicaid managed care organizations are redesigning LTSS through care coordination, home- and community-based services, and behavioral health integration.
The Thursday morning keynote, Whole-Person Care In Action: Mercy Care’s Blueprint For The Future Of Integrated Care, with Tad Gary, Chief Executive Officer of Mercy Care, will examine how payer-provider partnerships, care coordination, and social supports can be structured to improve outcomes for specialty populations while managing costs, through Mercy Care’s whole person care model.
The Retreat will also feature two all-day executive summits. The Workforce Best Practices Summit, sponsored by Qualifacts, will focus on sustaining top professionals, strategies for change management, and using AI and predictive analytics to support the workforce.
The CFO Summit, sponsored by Netsmart, will take a dive into the CFO’s role as a strategic architect—not only in terms of forecasting and budgeting, but in relationships and partnership building through mergers and acquisitions, and managed care contracts.
“In today’s market, leadership challenges are less about defining strategy and more about executing it,” said Monica E. Oss, Chief Executive Officer of OPEN MINDS. “Aligning teams, managing competing priorities, and maintaining focus are now the differentiators. This retreat gives executives the space to step back, reassess, and strengthen how they lead in a more complex environment.”
