Gettysburg, Pa. (November 6, 2022) — On Tuesday, February 14, 2023, OPEN MINDS will host an executive seminar at The 2023 OPEN MINDS Performance Management Institute in Clearwater, Florida. The seminar is designed to help provide health and human service organization leadership with a roadmap to build and succeed with value-based payer partnerships.
Across the country, managed care organizations are successfully delivering treatment services to large populations in a way that saves states significant sums of money solidifying value-based reimbursement (VBR) and managed care arrangements in the market. Provider organization executives must position themselves to work closely with managed care companies. This requires an understanding of key competencies required in the VBR model and a strategy with tactical initiatives for implementing the talent, technology, and systems required to deliver quality and value.
How To Build (& Succeed With) Value-Based Payer Partnerships: An OPEN MINDS Seminar On Best Practices In Marketing, Negotiating, & Contracting With Health Plans will be presented live on Tuesday, February 14, during The 2023 OPEN MINDS Performance Management Institute, from 1:30 pm – 4:30 pm ET by OPEN MINDS Richard Louis, III, Vice President, Western Region, and Senior Associate Ramona Osburn.
Mr. Louis and Ms. Osburn will outline how to develop relationships with the payers in your market, required metrics, and how to help them to meet their performance requirements. The session will cover how provider organizations can align programs and services with the goals of the payers and health plans and provide data that proves your service lines can achieve both high-quality outcomes and lower costs. Attendees of this crucial seminar will learn:
- How to start strategic conversations with health plans
- How to confirm the foundational components of infrastructure needed for VBR are in place
- How to demonstrate your organization’s value to capture health plans’ interest
- How to secure and optimize service agreements with health plans
- How to implement approaches to realign service models to ensure success in a value-driven market.
