Strategy, Portfolio Management & Scenario-Based Planning Seminar Announced For The 2021 OPEN MINDS Strategy & Innovation Institute
GETTYSBURG, Pa. (April 11, 2021) – OPEN MINDS’ executive seminar, How To Develop A Strategic Plan: Best Practices In Strategy, Portfolio Management & Scenario-Based Planning will kick off the first day of The 2021 OPEN MINDS Strategy & Innovation Institute on Monday, June 14, 2021. A successful strategic planning process provides organizations with a roadmap – not only for developing plans in uncertain times, but also for putting those plans into action and evaluating their success. OPEN MINDS Senior Associates, Ray Wolfe, J.D. and Joseph P. Naughton-Travers, Ed.M., will virtually present this seminar from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. ET.
In their executive seminar, Mr. Wolfe and Mr. Naughton-Travers will dive into the OPEN MINDS’ three-phase approach to strategy development. More specifically, they will discuss and provide a guide that includes the OPEN MINDS best practices to building and implementing a strategic plan, along with an in-depth review of how to manage strategy implementation for success.
“We’ve certainly learned during the COVID-19 pandemic the importance of leadership and planning,” said Mr. Naughton-Travers. “Now, it is more important than ever to revisit your strategic plan – how should your organization and the services you provide look different in the next normal? Our focus in this session will be on a best-practice model for scenario-based strategic planning, with a heavy focus on managing your service line portfolio and financial health to achieve your mission.” Mr. Wolfe added, “We must focus more honestly on our internal programming and a have a much clearer idea of how we will respond to the next crises we will most surely face.”
Mr. Naughton-Travers has more than 30 years of experience in the health and human service field. For the past decade, over half his consulting practice has focused on aiding organizations in technology selection and implementation, including all aspects of strategic technology planning, functional specifications development, request for proposal development, vendor selection, and contracting.
Mr. Wolfe brings over 40 years of experience in the health and human services sector to the OPEN MINDS team. His areas of expertise include managed care and value-based reimbursement models, financial analysis and management, mergers, and acquisitions, CCBHC certification, integrated care, performance improvement, and strategic planning.
The 2021 OPEN MINDS Strategy & Innovation Institute, taking place June 14-16, 2021, will be exclusively virtual and is the only national event focused on moving innovation to action and developing sustainable strategies for organizations serving consumers with complex conditions in the “next normal.”
