OPEN MINDS Hosts Executive Roundtable On Building A Culture Of Skilled Leadership
Gettysburg, PA. (August 15, 2026)— OPEN MINDS will host an executive roundtable, Innovative Ways To Cultivate Leadership Readiness: The Familylinks Case Study, on August 17 at 1:00 p.m. ET. Developing internal leadership talent can be challenging, particularly when resources are scarce. But when market pressures change quickly, organizations need a process for making sure that mission-critical staff have the leadership skills needed to succeed.
The session will feature Mallory Ulizio, Senior Director of Strategy and Business Operations, and Tamara Caldwell, Director of Program Quality and Compliance, who will share two complementary initiatives that Familylinks uses to build a robust leadership pipeline.
The first initiative is a leadership capstone program that integrates experiential learning, real-world problem-solving, and reflective practice to strengthen core leadership competencies. The second initiative is Familylinks’ President’s Advisory Council, which includes staff from different departments who partner directly with the chief executive officer (CEO) to advise on major organizational changes.
“The challenge in the health and human service field right now isn’t a lack of strategic plans, growth plans, business plans, and marketing plans,” said Monica E. Oss, Chief Executive Officer of OPEN MINDS. “Everyone has plans. The challenge is making that plan happen, and that challenge can’t be answered without the right leaders who possess the right skills.”
Attendees will gain practical insights into how to implement systematic pipelines to grow leadership skills among key roles and analyze the key roles and skills of rising performers.
This executive roundtable is part of the ongoing OPEN MINDS series designed to provide senior leaders with practical, case-based strategies for operational excellence and sustainable growth.
