OPEN MINDS, Qualifacts & Berks Counseling Center Present A Free Case Study Webinar: The Six Steps To Improving Behavioral Health Outcomes For CCBHCs
GETTYSBURG, Pa. (May 22, 2022) — On May 24, 2022 at 1:00 pm ET, OPEN MINDS will host, Six Steps to Improving CCBHC Outcomes: The Berks Counseling Center Case Study, sponsored by Qualifacts and the Providers’ Resource Center for Behavioral Health and Human Services (PRC). This event will provide strategies and insights into producing quality behavioral health outcomes for Certified Community Behavioral Health Centers (CCBHC).
During this special case study webinar on May 24 at 1:00 pm ET, Berks Counseling Center will share how the CCBHC successfully improved performance on behavioral health outcomes and built a cycle of continuous quality improvement in just one year. Attendees can also expect to hear the challenges and successes experienced throughout the CCBHC journey and some important lessons learned.
“In its fifth year of existence as an entity, states with CCBHC programs are seeing improvements in initiation, engagement, and follow up on behavioral health services, as well as improved access to care, expanded crisis services and supports, decreased wait times, and reductions in health disparities,” said Monica Oss, Chief Executive Officer at OPEN MINDS. “But, despite many states seeing great improvements, not all CCBHCs have been successful. It’s important to share strategies for success so other organizations who are currently – or are considering becoming CCBHCs – can be successful, too.”
Our faculty for this event will be John E. Heim, Technology Specialist, EHR Systems at Berks Counseling Center, and Mary A. Givens, CCBHC Program Manager at Qualifacts.
John Heim currently serves as the Technology Specialist, EHR Systems for Berks Counseling Center (a CCBHC/ICWC), where John manages the Electronic Health Record, writes reports, manages technology-related projects, and coordinates with Clinical and Administrative staff to improve data collection for the agency. He was the Project Manager for the Credible implementation in 2017/2018 and tries to be the bridge between the clinical and IT departments so they can implement effective organization-wide solutions.
