“Sustainability – securing sufficient resources to fulfill your organization’s mission without excessive dependence on any single funding source – is a challenge even during the best of times. And in a time of market disruption and new competition, a greater challenge than ever for executive teams,” said Monica E. Oss, chief executive officer of OPEN MINDS. “For executives who have been around the health and human service field for a while, there is surprising agreement that the past few years have the potential to derail provider organizations that have been around for decades, and this year’s election has only increased that potential for the years to come. Our goal is to help executives reinvent their strategies for sustainability to ensure their organizations will survive, and potentially thrive, in the years ahead.”

Part of this year’s expanded program will include a special new event to be held in conjunction with the institute in 2017 – The 2017 OPEN MINDS I/DD Executive Summit. This intellectual and developmental disability (I/DD) focused event will take place the day before the main institute program and will feature practical, cutting-edge ideas for success in today’s turbulent I/DD marketplace.
