Ohio Medicaid managed care organization (MCO) CareSource partnered with Akron Children’s Hospital to establish an accountable care organization (ACO) to serve 100,000 child CareSource Medicaid members in 13 counties. The ACO is called the Akron Children’s Health Collaborative; it will begin serving CareSource members effective October 1, 2021.

Under the arrangement with CareSource, the Collaborative will receive a per member per month payment for each CareSource child member.
