Department Of Labor Picks Core States To Expand Opportunities For Competitive Integrated Employment Among Individuals With Disabilities
On January 26, 2023, the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL), Office of Disability Employment Policy (ODEP), selected 10 states and the District of Columbia to participate as "core states" in an initiative to increase competitive integrated employment (CIE) for individuals with disabilities. The states participating in the DOL’s National Expansion of Employment Opportunities Network (NEON) initiative are California, Colorado, Delaware, the District of Columbia, Hawaii, Kansas, Kentucky, Missouri, New York, Rhode Island, and Tennessee.
