What keeps community hospital chief executive officers (CEOs) up at night? I read the list from a survey released this year (see Survey: Workforce Challenges Cited By CEOs As Top Issue Confronting Hospitals In 2022) and think the results resonate with most of the provider organization executives I know. The top three are workforce challenges, financial challenges, and behavioral health issues. Consumer safety, care quality, government mandates, and access to care were the next tier of concerns.
