Elevance Launches Medicaid Smartphone Initiative

On January 10, 2024, Elevance Health announced a program to provide its Medicaid members with free digital health-enabled smartphones and a free unlimited data plan (data, talk, and text). The devices will be preloaded with a customized set of applications to give consumers access to digital and virtual health care tools that they might otherwise not have had.
