Colorado Preparing To Launch A Social Health Information Exchange

The Colorado Office of eHealth Innovation (OeHI) and the Department of Health Care Policy and Financing (HCPF) are preparing to launch a Social Health Information Exchange (SHIE) platform, and are contracting with Resultant to develop a scalable, adaptable, and sustainable statewide SHIE architecture of technology and other tools to allow data and information sharing among health care organizations that provide services to address social determinants of health (SDoH) and to improve care coordination for individuals. The SHIE will focus on people eligible for Medicaid. SDoH includes needs for food security, safe transportation, and secure housing.
