The effect of workforce shortages on community-based provider organization strategy has improved—but not by much.;A new survey of the executives of organizations providing home-based services, The State Of America’s Direct Support Workforce Crisis, found that 69% of organizations reported turning away new referrals. 39% were discontinuing programs/services, and 64% intended to delay the launch of new programs—largely due to workforce-related issues.
